| Carl E. MacPherson is the Executive Chef of The Ashton Depot, a full service catering facility located in the old Santa Fe Rail Station, now called the Ashton Depot. MacPherson oversees culinary operations both on site and offsite, catering various types of events for both social and corporate clients. Beginning his exciting career MacPherson obtained a culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. From there he began a culinary journey that spanned throughout the United States, Caribbean and Europe for over a decade; experiencing the diverse flavors and cultures from various regions throughout the world with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Prior to relocating back to the United States, MacPherson was at the Hotel Arts, a five-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Barcelona, Spain, that was voted “#1 Business Hotel in Europe” three years in a row by Condé Nast Traveler. He was also the opening restaurant and banquet chef at The Ritz-Carlton in San Juan, Puerto Rico, ranked one of the top 10 Caribbean Resorts by Condé Nast Traveler and the fine dining chef at The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island in Florida. His last stop with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Co. was with the opening culinary team, at the Ritz-Carlton's newest five-star five-diamond resort, in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada. MacPherson left the hotel industry to join Zquare Investment Company as the corporate chef co-creating a bistro concept, authentic Italian concept and the total renovation and acquisition of Fort Worth's famous Fine Dining Restaurant, Angeluna. There MacPherson created the city's finest upscale menu featuring Mediterranean, Spanish-influenced cuisine showcasing an array of tapas, grilled fish and wood grilled meats, fresh made pastas and the infamous paella dish rated number one three years in a row by Gourmet Magazine. After successfully co-creating, opening and operating three restaurants, MacPherson left Zquare Investments to work as the Executive Chef of DHS in 2004, now Ashton Management Services, LLC where he is currently employed today. MacPherson uses his worldly travels daily to cook and delight Chairmans, CEOs, Presidents, Chancellors and Executives from around the world. There is never a day that passes, he doesn't get a chance to create a menu, cook and demonstrate his love and passion for cooking to some of the wealthiest movers and shakers in America today! |
